Episode 7 Kia Ora Welcome to my seventh episode. Today I go through all the jobs I’ve had over the years and what I learned from each of them. The first two I was fired from and the third one I had to beg not to be fired. It took me a while to figure out how to work hard. But I eventually learned. Some of the jobs I've had is a fruit picker, teacher, tutor, missionary, mother and now a podcaster. Come with me and see if you can relate and make a connection with some of the experiences I had growing up and am still having now. Thanks for joining me. Hope you enjoy. Until next time........ Joseph Part 1 Joseph Part 2 Kia Ora Welcome to my third guest episode. I'm glad you're here. In my sixth episode I talk to marine, Joseph. Joseph goes into detail about serving his country and some of the adventures he's had. He's still serving. He enlisted when he was 18 and was deployed at 22 on his first mission to Iraq. He's been on four, altogether, and tells us details about those deployments and what his missions were. He's traveled to many countries to serve for USA and is proud to do so. His story is an interesting one and is broken up into two parts. The second part is about an injury that happened to him while he was on his first deployment and the events that happened around that time. I learned so much from sitting down and having a conversation with Joseph and I know you'll learn a bunch as well. Thanks for giving his story a chance to be heard and for being here with me on this journey. Until next time..... Ka kite ano au i a koutou

Episode Five Kia Ora In this episode I give you a forty three year account of the places I’ve lived. I’ve lived in three different countries. New Zealand, Australia and the United States. I’ve lived in various places in those countries as well. I figured I’d take you on a trip down memory lane to discover these places with me and some of the things that were happening in my life while living there. I'm hoping that this will help you in future episodes. When I have guests on my show and say how I know them, after listening to this episode, it will make sense where they fell in my life and how I know them. It'll also help with what was going on in my life when I met them. Sometimes people come in and out of our lives at certain times. While we may not keep in the best of contact, because they were there for us at a time that may have been significant, they hold a special place in our hearts, and always will. It'll also help when I dive into future episode ab...

Episode Four Kia Ora and Welcome to my fourth episode. In this episode I invite six teens, to answer four questions about this past year, 2020. 1-What was the worst thing about 2020? 2-What was the best thing about 2020? 3-What helped you through the hard times? 4-What did you learn about yourself, and in general, in 2020? I have three girls and three boys, of varying ages, talk to me about 2020. I appreciate their perspective and their honesty. I had this idea come to me one day, so I ran with it. I usually run with ideas that come to me. I hope you enjoy. As usual, I need to thank April for the graphics. I invite you to contact me with your perspective and thoughts. Also, if you feel as if you have a story or know someone with a story that needs to be heard, let me know. Until next time. Ka kite ano au i a koutou

Episode Three Kia Ora! In this third episode I go into detail about how 2020 changed me forever as a mother, wife and as a human. I also talk, a little, about why I chose to do therapy. It's a very candid episode. Parts of it were very tough for me to do. I hope you'll forgive me for that. It was also very cold out in the podcast room and so I had the heater going the whole time. Turns out you can hear it in the background. So I won't do that again. Lesson learned. I'm a work in progress for sure. I made mistakes in my editing as well and it took me way longer than I'd like to admit. This episode will give you a little more detail of who I am and how I think. This is my truth and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening. Until next time.................... Ka kite ano au i a koutou

Kia Ora and welcome to my second episode. In this episode I have a conversation with April Zastrow while she unfolds her story to us. April raced in pro women's motocross for a decade. She also worked for Fly Racing as a designer. For fun, she's passionate about river and wake surfing. She's also taken up something I'm passionate about--mountain biking. She's recently embarked on a new adventure with her partner, Kyle Warner, with mountain bike how-to instructional videos. Their videos help those who want to learn more skills in mountain biking, such as How to Manual , How to do a drop , or How to wheelie which has garnered over 2 million views. April is smart, talented, and humble. I'm grateful she gave me some of her time to be my very first guest on The Candid Kiwi, and the opportunity for us to connect with her. To learn something new. To get pumped to get out there and do something for yourself and live your dream. Check out April & Kyl...

This first episode is a little bit about how I got to the place I am with the Candid Kiwi podcast. It's been quite the ride and in this first episode I got into detail of how this all came to be. I'm not tech savvy and so it's about as good as you'd think a 40 year old non tech savvy woman could do and I'm pretty proud of the results. Who knew I could learn so many new things so quickly! I'm sure it'll get easier and easier as time goes by and episodes get worked on. I...
