Welcome to Episode Thirty Eight.

In this episode I introduce you to Dana. Dana has a YouTube short film about her story. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/v4XhZyGP5Wc?si=-oYw3jFiZVI13Opg

Dana and Jason were married young and had five beautiful children together. They were best friends and both did their roles seamlessly as they navigated their marriage together.

Jason loved mountain biking and being outside. He started biking early in the morning with friends. Eventually they called themselves the 'dawn patrol' as they'd bring in the sun in the mornings while biking.

Jason started having ideas to start a website to help out our community with the trails. Eventually with some help and hard work, him and his buddies started the website: https://boisetrails.com/

The website helps with the local trails and where they are and the conditions they're in, as well as many other things.

Then he continued to have ideas to push the envelope further and gather the community together for a challenge when riding the trails. This is where the Boise Trails Challenge was born. Here's the website: https://boisetrailschallenge.com/

But before he could get that up and running a tragic accident happened where Jason was mtbing and died on the trail.

Dana was devastated and talks to us about what happened that day and how she moved forward with her life.

Between Jason's good friends and Dana, they decided to go for it and do the challenge anyway and it's been a huge hit in the community. Over one thousand people do it yearly now and run/hike/bike close to 250 miles for fun.

It was fun and emotional sitting with Dana and listening to her tell her story about her and Jason. I feel inspired by both her and Jason and what they've done for others and themselves.

I hope you'll come listen to Dana and learn from her, as I did.
