Here is a YouTube link of Masaru that I made of his life for his 18th birthday. This has cute pictures of him growing up over the years for you to see. I figured this is easier than putting up a number of pictures of him.

Welcome to episode thirty-seven. 

In this episode I introduce you to my eldest son, Masaru. Masaru sits with me and talks about his childhood up to this point.

He talks about his jobs, friends, family and adventures that he's been on.

He also talks about his ups and downs he's endured and how he's done it.

He talks about his ADD and how that's effected his life.

It was nice to sit down with Masaru and talk to him, in reflection, about who he is and how he got there.

He received his mission call and is leaving at the end of November to Austin, Texas for two years for our church. He's looking forward to it and is excited to serve the people of Austin.

So sit back and relax and let Masaru talk to you about his story while you clean, workout or shop.

Getting ready to podcast

  Kia Ora. Welcome to the Candid Kiwi blog. I'm so happy you're here. This is very exciting for me to share my podcast with you.  It all started with my father sharing stories with me as a child. It sparked a curiosity in story telling and a deep love with how stories connect us. As a child, it connected me with my father and my family.  Fast forward to 2020. What a year, right? I decided I needed to find balance. I needed to work on me, while also working hard with my children--trying to help them navigate virtual/online school and the repercussions of a pandemic. I have done a lot of soul searching this year. Through self-reflection, journaling, prayer, and conversation with trusted loved ones, I decided to start this podcast. I decided that story telling was just what I needed. And perhaps, what others need. Through my stories, and others, I feel like I could connect us as humans.
