Kia Ora and welcome to my eighteenth episode.

In this episode I introduce you to my husband, Dru Nakaya. He didn't want to do this, as he doesn't like talking about himself or being in the spotlight in any way. But I knew I needed to capture his story and he's a nice guy, especially to his wife.

Dru open's up about his childhood, family, friends, joys and hardships. He's an honest and kind man who's worked hard for what he has in life.

He was born in Bountiful Utah.
He's the youngest of four children.
His family were into the outdoors.
They skied in the summer and winter.
He did what he wanted with his hair.
He had really good mates and loved his brother.
Here he is on his mission for the LDS church. Kayberry is in the middle and my brother, Llewellyn is on the right.
He loves climbing.
His father is Japanese and he served there for two years for the church and learned how to speak the language and more about his culture over there.
Here are some of his buddies he grew up with his whole life.
He started off skiing but soon swapped it for the snowboard. Now he does both.
Here's his second love, Deborah.
He loves being a father.
He's adventurous. For this birthday he jumped out of a plane with our good buddy Jared.
We've been to NZ loads of times and here we are hiking with 'Mt Doom' from Lord of the Rings in the background. Super fun hike cause you get a rubbish bag and slide down the backside of the mt on the snow.
Here we are with some of my very best NZ friends.
Scuba diving in Mexico. So fun.
He loves to create and build. Here he is on one of his creations he did with his buddies.
Our wedding day.
The birth of our youngest child, Emiko.
Him and his brother, Ryan, after they'd finished one of the Baja 1000 races.
How Deborah is looking these days cause she's part of a family now.
Back in our 'pre-kid' stage.
Now we have four of them. We like to laugh.
The next morning after his head injury.
Our trip to Ice land.
Iceland.
Dru's always prepared. It's pretty amazing to be with a person who is prepared as much as he is. He plans everything down to detail and it's awesome.

We're getting older now and we just like to sleep sometimes hahahaha

I hope that you enjoy listening to Dru's story and feel a little more connected to him after this episode. There's a reason I married him and maybe you'll understand more after you give his story a listen.

Thanks for all your support.

Until next time......
